Home Citizen emergency Municipal Citizen's assemblie(s) Faq Langages
Our proposal is to use the tools of sociocracy to form a citizens' list for the 2023 elections using the method of election without candidates, but this is not enough to make full use of our sovereignty. We also want to participate in the regeneration of our local democracy through the introduction of direct democracy so that citizens can take control of political issues on a local basis.
We also believe that local democracy is the only one that can guarantee a form of resilience in case of collapse. It is also the only one that can guarantee a high and constant level of political competence, to guarantee spaces for debate and individual and collective emancipation. Democracy is not a spectator sport, nor a professional affair, but a citizen activity.
For this we recommend the use of a digital platform (discord) that can bring together all those -in the greater region- who have an interest in taking part. The advantage of a digital platform is that it can be adapted quite easily to the time constraints of each other and that it limits physical meetings to what is necessary.
In a process that goes from the local to the global, each municipality will have its own discord. In a second phase, each assembly will be free to extend or not its action in the framework of the legislative election. If necessary, a national discord will be made available and a new election without candidates will be organised to constitute a national list.
Here is the design (to be adapted according to the commune) that we propose for the local citizens' assembly based on the communal competences and the four citizens' emergencies that we have identified.
